| Travelling by
bus has the advantage that you get to see the streets and sights
of London as you travel. It may be slower than travelling by
Underground, especially in the rush hour, but you may find it more
pleasant and it is relatively cheap. You can buy your
single fare ticket on the bus but bring some
change as bus drivers are not expected to change anything bigger
than a £5 note. Bus passes are available at
Tube Stations and some local newsagents. If you are 14 or 15 you
will need a
Photocard for all tickets and everyone in the family will
need one for the 7 Day Travelcard. |
| |
| Unlike the
Underground, the Bus network only has two zones for cash single
fares and four zones if you choose to get a Bus Pass. Remember to
keep your ticket throughout your journey. If you fail to show a
valid ticket on inspection, you may become liable to pay a £5
penalty fare. |
| |
| The following
different tickets are available to suit your needs;
Cash single fares, Night
Bus fares, One Day Bus Passes,
7 Day Bus Passes, 'Youth' 7 Day Bus Passes and One Day Bus and Tram
Pass. |
